Soft Feet: Natural Remedies
If you like wearing open toed shoes, flip-flops or sandals during the summer, you will want to have soft feet. Dry and callused skin is unattractive and uncomfortable, so what home remedies can you use to make sure feet look and feel better?
You don’t need to purchase expensive commercial lotions or pedicure gadgets to achieve soft feet. Natural remedies can soften feet and calluses just as affectively. Soaking your feet once a week in a container of warm water mixed with a little dish-washing liquid and one cup of white vinegar will work wonders. You only have to do it for about 30 minutes. Afterwards, you should rinse your feet, dry them and then put on a pair of cotton socks.
Like vinegar, baking soda is something you might already have in your cupboard and substituting the vinegar and washing up liquid for baking soda would save you from smelling like vinegar. Again, you will only need to soak your feet for half an hour and with regular use you will see results.
If you don’t have the time to soak your feet, why not put your favourite lotion onto your feet and cover them with a pair of socks to let the lotion work through? Applying a generous amount of the lotion to your feet and covering with a clean pair of socks before you go to sleep will soften them throughout the night and you’ll wake to softer and smoother feet in the morning.
