Marchesa's Parfum d’Extase
Fashion powerhouse Marchesa launched their debut perfume Parfum d’Extase aimed at elegant women who appreciate Marchesa's glamour and style on the red carpet. Parfum d’Extase is much talked about and it’s not difficult to see why. The fragrance is as glamorous to look at as it is to wear, which is exactly what you would expect from one of the world’s most glamorous Fashion brands.
Parfum d’Extase fragrance
The Parfum d’Extase fragrance is a blend of florals that include rose, orange blossom and jasmine. The floral scent transfers a distinctive note of elegance and glamour with intricate detail and sparkle. The complete floral notice is Star Anise, Iris Flower, Lotus Flower, Night Blooming Jasmine, Bulgarian Rose Water, Black Current, Young Violet Leaves, Iris Root, Orange Blossom, Muscenone and Ambrox. Parfum d’Extase is a delight for women who prefer a subtle, sweet fragrance that is still unequivocally warm.
The Parfum d’Extase bottle
The Parfum d’Extase bottle is designed in collaboration with Vanessa Stevens of Malin Ericson and company. The bottle is crystal flacon banded to capture the essence of a beautifully cut crystal gem and features hand-set crystal accents that look like a bow.
The cap looks much like the clasp on all Marchesa clutches but with a touch of 'diamond' details that enhance the bottle’s glamour. Parfum d’Extase bottle is so glamorous and beautiful that you cannot help but imagine how amazing it would look on a vanity table.
Wearing Parfum d’Extase
Parfum d’Extase starts out with a dry, strong, fresh citrus floral scent that gets softer and drier after a few minutes of application. The scent then rounds out with more floral notes that are not fruity or powdery as the day wears on. The dry down is soft and airy and lasts a long time. If you wear Parfum d’Extase in the evening, you will still be wrapped in the lovely, floral scent well into the next morning.
Marchesa’s Parfum d’Extase smell really nice with lovely floral scents and soft, powdery notes, but it reminds you of Prada’s Infusion d’Iris. Diehard Marchesa fans might feel a little disappointed with the subtle similarities and would have wanted a perfume that is absolutely unique to Marchesa. Otherwise, Parfum d’Extase is chic and quite sophisticated. It seems like everything Georgina Chapman and Karen Craig, co-founders of Marchesa, touch turns into gold.
