Now I ain't sayin' you're a gold digger...

According to a story in the Times Online, a young lady has posted an ad on the classified web site Craigslist thus:

"“I’m a beautiful (spectacularly beautiful) 25-year-old. I’m articulate and classy. I’m not from New York. I’m looking to get married to a guy who makes at least half a million a year. I know how that sounds, but keep in mind that a million a year is middle-class in New York City, so I don’t think I’m overreaching at all.”"

The story has sparked something of a debate, as you would imagine, about gold diggers both sides of the pond. The best response from a man to the ad was by far the very witty:

"Your looks will fade and my money will likely continue in perpetuity . . . So in economic terms, you are a depreciating asset. In Wall Street terms, we would call you a trading position, not a buy and hold." Fantastic!

In case you're wondering where to head online if you're interested in catching yourself a sugar daddy, we recommend any gold digger hopefuls check out Millionairematch.com and the aptly titled Sugardaddie.com. Either that or seek advice from Heather Mills...
