When you were a kid you may have wanted to be Princess Aurora in Sleeping Beauty– hey who doesn’t want to be woken up by a rich and hot looking Prince Phillip! - but times are changing and Maleficent is the new beauty queen model for wannabe bad girls.

In the top 30 Disney Villains countdown, Maleficent is ranked #1 and with the magnificent Angelina Jolie starring in the role of the "Mistress of All Evil" in the upcoming Disney film, MAC Cosmetics has decided to create a beauty collection inspired by the evil character.

The limited-edition collection of eleven pieces will include face, eye, lip and nail products, according to WWD and is set to be released in May 2014 in time with the movie.

The movie plot takes on a new twist and will look at the villainous Maleficent and the events that hardened her heart and drove her to curse young Princess Aurora.

Toni G was Jolie’s makeup artist on set, and Rick Baker special makeup effects artist and previous MAC collaborator did the rest of the makeup and judging by the trailer, the look is ‘darkly and scarily perfect.’

This isn’t first time that MAC had teamed up with Disney to release a limited edition makeup collection.

In 2010 the cosmetic brand launched the famous Venomous Villains collection inspired by four villains from our favorite Disney movies: Cruella De Vil of 101 Dalmations, the Evil Queen from Snow White, naturally Maleficent from Sleeping Beauty, and also Dr. Facilier, the voodoo witch doctor from The Princess and The Frog.

So if we were are to judge by the success of Venomous Villains, the Maleficent collection will be even bigger, too bad that at the moment it isn’t known whether the collection will also be released in the UK.

This will be AngeIina Jolie’s first on screen role in more than two years after her directorial debut In the Land of Blood and Honey and undergoing a a preventive double mastectomy .
