Home made hair treatments to try today!
There's no need to spend a fortune at the chemist to achieve beautiful, healthy hair: home made hair treatments can work just as well as the leading brands! Here are some top ideas for treatments you can make and apply at home...
Baking soda treatment for product build up
If product build up and residue has left your hair dull and lifeless, a baking soda treatment may be all you need to restore its shine and leave it squeaky clean. Mix a tablespoon of baking soda with a little water to form a thick paste. Then apply to damp hair and leave to sit for 15 minutes. Rinse, shampoo and condition your hair as normal.
Beer treatment for fine hair
Beer can add volume to fine or limp hair. The yeast it contains plumps our hair follicles and leaves bouncy, healthy looking tresses. Mix half a cup of flat beer with one teaspoon of olive oil and a raw egg. Apply to clean, damp hair and allow to sit for 15 minutes before rinsing. You can also spritz flat beer onto dry hair for an instant body boost - but bear in mind that you might smell like you've had a mad night on the town!
Lemon juice and olive oil treatment for a flaky scalp
The acidity of lemon juice works to fight flakes while the olive oil moisturises the newly exposed skin. Mix two tablespoons of lemon juice, two table spoons of oilve oil and oil tablespoons of water, then massage into your scalp. Allow to sit for 20 minutes before rinsing off.
