Gisele Bündchen is Pantene's new hair ambassador
Internationally renowned supermodel Gisele Bündchen has been appointed a new brand ambassador for Pantene hair products.
Bündchen has been the face of the brand in Brazil since 2007, and will now also be the face for the North American market.
According to the press release Gisele will appear “TV and print advertising, in-store displays, iMedia and public relations outreach” starting in January 2014, that will also see the launch of the first-ever line of antioxidant hair care and a damage detox collection.
The Brazilian beauty will be joining other ambassadors that have fronted Pantene, like Eva Mendes, Queen Latifah and Zooey Deschanel.
"I feel my hair has been through it all – from being styled more than 10 times in one day to enjoying the sun and surf with my children – and Pantene has helped to keep it healthy with every wash, no matter what the day may bring,” said the 33-year old supermodel, who is also a UN Goodwill Ambassador.
"I love that Pantene not only stands for healthy, strong hair, but also encourages women to give back specifically through a program like Pantene Beautiful Lengths."
For those who don’t know, Pantene Beautiful Lengths is the company’s charity campaign that they began in 2006 in collaboration with the American Cancer Society which allows women to donate their hair to help make real-hair wigs for women with cancer.
“Gisele is truly a woman who has it all – not only does she have one of the most iconic heads of hair in the beauty world but she is also a true role model with a huge heart,” said Kevin Crociata, Marketing Director of North American Hair Care at Procter & Gamble.
“We want to celebrate Gisele not only for her beauty, but also her genuine passion to empower women to be their best selves. Her tremendous career accomplishments, her success as a mother of two wonderful children, and her ongoing philanthropic work are an inspiration for women to be beautiful both inside and out. We are proud to now have her as part of our North American Pantene family.
