Frida Gustavsson is the new face for Maybelline New York
“A Maybelline New York woman is strong and confident-I love that attitude. I'm honored and thrilled to represent such an iconic brand and to be a part of the Maybelline New York family," said Frida Gustavsson.
The Swedish born model received a wonderful 20th birthday present (June 6th) as she was recently announced as the new spokeswoman for Maybelline New York.
Frida will be joining the long line of other beautiful women that have fronted the number one cosmetics brand in the world, from Christy Turlington, Julia Stegner, Erin Wasson, Kemp Muhl, Shu-Pei Qin, Emily DiDonato, Jessica White, to Charlotte Free.
"In addition to her stunning career on the fashion runways, Frida's radiant beauty and positive energy are very inspirational. Her warm and optimistic personality perfectly embodies the Maybelline New York woman of today," said Maybelline New York global brand president Damien Bertrand.
Gustavsson has had a meteoric rise in the world of modeling since her debut in 2008, as she currently ranks 17th.
She has worked for global brands and major designers, and has been featured in advertising campaigns for Prada, Jill Stuart, Anna Sui, Mulberry, Paul & Joe, Roberto Cavalli, H&M, Max Mara, Valentino, and has also appeared in the American, Italian, Chinese, French, German, Russian, and British editions of Vogue, but also in Elle, W, Allure, Interview, Self Service, and Pop.
She has walked the runways for Louis Vuitton, Chanel, Lanvin, Carolina Herrera, Fendi, Christian Dior, Jil Sander, Alexander McQueen, Anna Sui, Marc Jacobs, Michael Kors, Calvin Klein, Oscar de la Renta, Emilio Pucci, Celine, Hermès, Jean Paul Gaultier, Dolce & Gabbana, Givenchy, Yves Saint Laurent, Ralph Lauren, Blumarine and Versace.
After winning the 2011 Elle Sweden's Model of the Year award, she became one of the eleven new faces in last year’s Victoria's Secret Runway Show.
Frida will make her debut in print and television advertising campaigns for Maybelline New York later this year.
