Desigual launches its first fragrance line

Desigual, noted for its distinct patchwork designs, intense prints, innovative graffiti art and flamboyant and splashy colors on its trendy apparel is getting into the fragrance world for the first time.

The Spanish clothing company has launched their new perfume line just in time for the Christmas season.

Desigual has released not one scent but three essences and have decided to dub them Fun, Sex and Love, names that embody the spirit of the brand and plays on the company’s motto that "Life is Cool."

The three fragrances – Fun, Sex and Love are available in three different formats: 30ml, 50ml and 100ml, with prices ranging from £44.00 to £74.00, depending on the size of the perfume bottle.

The highly distinctive and colorful packaging features concentric rings of bright colors that surround the name and logo on the front of the bottle for a psychedelic effect.

Desigual enlisted the help of three different ‘noses’ to develop their first fragrances.

Perfumer Daphné Bugey who has already created essences for Byblos, Kenzo, DSquared2 and Issey Miyake came up with the Sex fragrance.

This perfume features top notes of milky soya with red fruits and rhubarb. At the heart, sensual Indian tuberose, sambac jasmine and feisty grapefruit flowers and the bottom notes are rich musk, vanilla and precious woods.

The Fun perfume was created by Christophe Raynaud (Balenciaga, Givenchy, Guerlain, Benetton, Ducati) has top notes of juicy cranberry with nashi pear and white peach. At the heart, exotic passion fruit , pretty violet and peony and bottom notes of bright santal and teak wood.

Fabrice Pellegrin (Azzaro, Byblos, Paco Rabanne, Diesel)nose was chosen for "Love".

This fragrance contains top notes of cranberry and black currant and a heart of grapefruit, romantic orange blossom and benzoin. The bottom notes are praline, sandalwood and tonka bean.
